I am only a child
I am only a child When I grew up as a child in school, in the days of corporal punishment, I can remember attending a Catholic school, the principle of a nun. The name of the school that I attended until the fourth grade was? Our Lady Queen of the World?. I can recall with clarity, while the class taught by a gym? Brother? as we did then that struck in the back of the head with what I think the ankle was close to the punch, knocking me unconscious, all running, because I was passing through. All I heard was a sudden? Ringing? in my head as I am. I was only 10 years, I can not forget that one of my oldest sister, two years my senior, was whipped on the legs with a yard stick to this principle of the nun, the same school, and then marched to a fitness first phase of their whole class to create an example for them. Only 12 years! My poor mother to see the bruises on my sister? S legs the next moing and hearing my treatment, burst into tears. After the re-acquisition of its composer, marched in the capital? S Office and with a firm voice say? If you touch my children, I want to? You? My father was not around, or would have been good to my mother? S threats. The years later, we are in another town, where I took two other Catholic schools under the name S. Francois de Bienville and St. Clare? S, of the 5th Class 7-Class, or even most of a nun. Here is where he was introduced to the strap of leather, at least once a month, because with the principal or a nun, her assistant, the vice-principal, an English gentleman (from the United Kingdom), as late as a sort of inspiration behavior for me. Your definition of behavior was not from me. What made me? Language online? In essence, nothing special, like most other children. Fool around for class. Not all of my tasks. Speaking in the corridors, and jumping. Only normal, Cool Stuff, Cool kids do! These are still in high school. The irony here is that the vice principal, who usually give me the strap from his job duties, when you take the time that I feel fine with me, it was? Debonair?. I never understood what was really up to much later in life, but he made me feel good and I liked him for it.Those us back on the day of corporal punishment. Call it whatever you want, as history shows, we have normal again children.Did their cruel actions make us change? He did not. He let us get away? He did not. Are successful in reducing our self-esteem? Absolutely not! Moreover, the harsh words? You? Ll term in prison? Not? t affect me. Why? Since it was usually in private, other than my sister? S show and tell. My sister and I and the rest of the gang, was the success respectful in our daily life, and I am proud to say to parents of children with normal and good, for which I five.Recently, even if I have my wife with the school for a couple of cases of complaints and disputes about my 10 years, son, I was appalled by an incident that I leaed later, was in a particular Catholic school for some time.Where, these teachers and so-called? Behavior Technicians? were his whole life? If they? Back in my old age, have forgotten? There were always children, or just pop-up by an adult who knows where. My son is a good child, and very persistent, which is a function of itself to win, has a difficult time, a? No? (position to win another) if he feels it is unfair and inequitable treatment. This is a quality that I wonder why parents are not so critical to the success life.Because in a shoving incident between my son and a new competitor in the school (un po 'boy pulled back) and others, have all been before the judge and evaluate their piers. The scenario is this: Anyone who misbehaves, Saturdays are the center of a circle, surrounded by their piers, classmates, a verdict on guilt and the decision on a punishment. The penalty may be missing American to go to the principal? Office, suspension, etc. The other students are allowed to enjoy the baby etc. That poor kid at the center of a circle, was ridiculed by all his class and, consequently, the school, as the word is around. How can the children of both parties are impartial enough to judge another child? How children can be on both sides of this negativity and negative circumstances? How can our schools such a practice? This was not a school or a game! The school is not a court! My son and his class are not here in court! They have not committed a crime! This was my opinion is not acceptable! As we can only venture mocked by a jury trial in an elementary school atmosphere, as if these children have had a terrible act! Where can I find the teachers to the games with children? I thought, how do they do? My corporal punishment as a child is less humiliating than what these kids to be naked. My physical punishment, and inappropriate, but at least it was in private. They are rarely changed, in my opinion. What was not back completely negative effect on children? S self-esteem. Try for a moment, consider what the child? S mind as he or she is at the center of the circle, who stared, ridiculed and judged for their class. Total humiliation, shame, hurt, frustration and anger, with no way out! With the threat of condemning this practice is to guess which one? Debonair? Vice-capital, then head of the school, this practice immediately send abandoned.Og once wrote? How often should a child know he or she will never be in life, before he or she accepts sentence, usually by a parent or another teacher, and spends the rest of his days, the prophecy of failure? As we assume that the sad and educated civil adults, we have chosen to destroy our children? s also esteem.Napoleon Hill once said:? Knowledge has nothing to do with being grown. It has to do with knowing how to use?. Obviously, this new generation of teachers who have much to lea given their academic background. You would do well to read things that have not? T in the school to lea? Children in danger? by Dr. James Dobson. You? that in our history, our leaders in the field of education has always been difficult times with the children. It is not easy to be a teacher. But you can not cross line.So that teachers and parents don? T be so quick to judge. Children have a God-given, natural instinct, to persevere, persist, and fight for what they want and believe in. And 'us that we tend to destroy the qualities that they need later in life. It 'strange that a child might be necessary? No? If you are to survive in an adult world, as opposed to a failure to adopt? no? If you manage to adult.I as in my heart that this practice had to be canceled, although probably will be many more such procedures in the school in these days of expiration. I think that a good company to survive it all? Obligation to correct what they know in their hearts is wrong! Most people tend to forget that children are just children who !~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ ~ ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jonathan G.
